Intel 8088

Yup, this is still the Intel 8088 page. I only have a Fujitsu-manufactured chip in my collection. :P

Also known as the iAPX 88, the Intel 8088 is a lower-cost version of the 8086, with the main difference between the two chips being the 8088's eight data lines, as opposed to the 8086's sixteen. The 8088 is notable for being the basis of the original IBM PC, whose subsequent clone systems would come to dominate the PC landscape.
