Intel 8080/8085

The Intel 8080 (or the 8080a, as depicted above) is Intel's successor to its previous 8008 CPU. Its use in the Altair 8800, IMSAI 8080, and other early "minicomputers" of the 1970s would spark the beginnings of the home computer revolution.

The 8085 is a variant of the Intel 8080 that only reqeuired a single 5-volt power rail.
